Verizon / Humanability ↓
Designed to show how technology can move the world forward — by putting people first.
Creative Direction, Experience Design @ Huge
Verizon set out to express its mission of "humanability": the idea that technology, when designed with care, has the power to improve everyday life. But that message wasn’t landing. The brand needed a platform that could bring its vision to life through stories that felt tangible, emotional, and real.
We created a digital storytelling experience built around six core themes, from augmented education and connected agriculture to intelligent infrastructure and data-driven healthcare. Each story was designed to highlight how Verizon’s technology enables better outcomes for people and communities. Working closely with strategy, content, motion, and engineering partners across multiple agencies, we developed a flexible system that could scale across stories, devices, and markets.
The work included everything from narrative frameworks and interaction models to editorial templates and reusable design components. Motion played a central role. It wasn’t just there to add energy — it helped guide users through the experience and created a sense of cohesion across stories. We also ensured the platform could support multi-language rollout, responsive behavior, and future content needs.
The platform doubled time spent on page and laid the foundation for Verizon’s future storytelling work. More importantly, it helped reposition the brand’s innovation narrative by showing how technology can serve people, not just products.
